Felt Play Sets #3 and #4

Am I getting carried away with these? Maybe but any mother of toddlers will tell you that on a LONG road trip, you need every resource you can get!

Yes I made another road map felt set. The first one, even if it was SUPER cool still has lots of little details falling off. I need to sit down with my glue gun for that one but I wasn't ready to face round 3 of the glueing process. Now I know that the glue gun works much better than the bottled glue but it's tedious. The first one was SO detailed. I realized that it didn't need that level of detail to make the little guy happy. PLus this one is small enough for his lap in the car. I also discovered Sharpies work just fine. No more cutting out tiny letters! I'm all about fast and easy satisfaction. If I have to get out the sewing machine then it's going to take me ages to get to it.

Inside the princess's envelope...
Paper dolls - felt style!

I want to throw together one more for my son since I don't think that the house/play mat will be done on time. I'm thinking I'll go with a farm theme but that's not one of his favorites. All he really likes is cars, trucks, etc. Has anyone got any other ideas? I'm thinking dinosaurs or maybe a construction theme would be good.

I used to love making paper dolls. Using felt is a great idea. Thanks!
