Tuscon AZ and Saguaro National Forest

Our visit to Tuscon (Hi Davis-Monthan folks!) was just a hotel stop before we woke up to go to see the Saguaro (sa-wa-ro) cactus. We stopped at the visitor's center first. Their primary display was really interesting to the kids and they had some hands-on displays. One of the rangers suggested a stop at Signal Hill. We drove down a dirt road that gave our mini van a beating until we came to a trail head. This trail was very manageable for the older two kids. Susie was convinced that she could do it too. By day three of getting in and out of the car seat, all she wanted to do was move. So when we carried her over the rough spots, she screamed hysterically. We came down the hill and there were people asking if she was ok. "No my baby was not bit by a rattler. She just wants to walk." At the top of the trail there are petroglyphs. I find that sort of thing really interesting! This was a really fun stop.
